BACKGROUND INFO:
My name is Juan Ruiz, I'm a Junior at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University majoring in Avionics Engineering Technology and have completed minor in Computer Science. I'm from Miami Florida where I graduated from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High with a GPA of 3.29. I also attended George T. Baker Aviation School (Vocational School) and completed a program in Electronics Technology (GPA 3.80). Upon graduation from High School, I put my skills in electronics to work. I was offered a position as an Avionics Apprentice by a company called P.M.S. (Professional Modification Services). The company's main operation was converting Boeing-727 passenger aircraft to cargo aircraft and performing overhauls on the aircraft. The position only lasted a summer due to my acceptance into Embry-Riddle in the Fall of '97.

Past Activities:
During my attendance at George T. Baker Aviation School, I was an active member of VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America). There I served as the Reporter for Region V (Dade county) and also participated in Regional & State competetion for electronics.
Current Activities:
I am currently an active member of Sigma
Alpha Epsilon Fraternity (. The positions I held in the fraternity were
Atheletic chairman and Eminent Correspondent. I was in charge of the fraternities
athletic program and producing articles and banners for the fraternity.
